In reply to <a href="https://zexulo.xyz/2021/09/29/the-gloomy-frog-shadow-puppet-project-pt1/#comment-391">Steen</a>.

Thanks for the advice Steen! and lovely to hear from you!

I like the simplicity of this set up. Much less involved than what i had in mind. Lycra is a great shout. I hadn't considered the challenges of creases of folds/wrinkles in the material over time. Can't take an iron to a venue LOL.

Thanks for the tip!

This is fabulous. A quick suggestion for making screens: when I was doing a lot of projection work, my go to for a portable screen was a rectangle of Lycra with lengths of conduit a bit longer than the width of the screen sewn into loops at the top and bottom. The conduit is heavy enough that it causes the fabric to hang nice and flat, and Lycra is quite resistant to wrinkling, so the whole thing can be wrapped up neatly and deployed quickly. Conduit is likely a bit much for your needs, a wooden dowel would likely be better. Feel free to reach out via email if you would like further clarification. And good luck!
